A non-profit Texas corporation dedicated to the revitalization of Old Town Mesquite. If you are a local merchant, property owner, or resident of Mesquite you should know about Old Town Mesquite and we encourage you to consider joining our membership.

Mission Statement

The purpose of Old Town Mequite, Inc. is to foster community awareness and enhance the economic development of Old Town Mesquite through cooperative efforts of local business and property owners and to assimilate these goals with those of Historic Mesquite, Inc.’s so as to endorse and promote the rich and unique heritage of Mesquite, it’s people and it’s landmarks.

Goals to Grow

Some of the many goals of Old Town Mesquite, Inc. include:

  • Planning of annual downtown festival
  • Networking with fellow business owners
  • Cooperative advertising and marketing
  • A forum for developing new ideas
  • Encourage economic expansion
  • Installation of a downtown recreational park
  • Monthly informational lunch meetings
  • Resurrect the long gone railroad depot
  • Distribution of marketing materials
  • Encourage historic development
  • Emphasize the historic importance of
    downtown Mesquite’s buildings and landmarks
